It’s been awhile-I haven’t posted because honestly, I haven’t had any interesting horsey news to share. However, I did want to share that we have sold two horses (in this economy, that’s a miracle) and we are down to a much more manageable number of just six horses. I will be starting ground work with my three year old gelding. This oughta be interesting, feel free to stay tuned.

Sometimes it all just falls together and the horsey day is just awesome! Had a great ride on my little Arab, Minuet. She is intelligent, patient and fun. The best Arabian mare on the planet! Not that I am, ahem, biased or anything like that!

The top picture is of some buzzards enjoying their Sunday breakfast of fresh roadkill. The other picture is of fresh, tasty hay.
It’s all relative, I suppose. Buzzards enjoy one, horses enjoy the other. As for me, I’m going out for some pancakes.

I am trying to get videos of my horses uploaded, so that I can interest buyers in my critters. It’s an amazing amount of work. First, I need to clean and prep the horses. Then I have to film them, and I am a baaad videographer. Then I have to edit the clips and get them uploaded, complete with text and music. It aint’ easy and I’m mentally exhausted. Kudos to those who produce lovely videos. I salute you and respect your hard work.

Lightfoot Foxtrot is by WMA Lightfoot +// and out of Belesema Mariah. His bloodlines are both CMK and Polish and he will make an outstanding performance horse. He is tall and gentle. Foaled May 12, 2009, he is gelded and ready for a new home. His full brother, Lightfoot Faust foaled April 6th, 2007 is also offered for sale. Both are blood bays with minimal white. We are asking $2,000 each.

Due to the fantastic weather we’ve been having, the wildflowers have absolutely exploded. This picture is of our half Arab Lightfoot Lydia (WMA Lightfoot x Cheyenne Illusion) enjoying the lush grass and beautiful flowers.

All the repairs are completed. The entire east wall is replaced and some of the welding has been upgraded and strengthened. We’ll have to varnish it, for weather protection. However, the horses have already moved back in and are warm and snug.

Well, okay, not really. But after about 5 years of hard use, it needed repairs something awful. So, here’s some pix of ongoing barn repairs. Hopefully, by this time next week, we’ll have a much improved barn.

I'm really working to market our horses, so I ordered a new sign for the front gate. I haven't put it up yet, here it's just propped up against the truck. Hopefully, it'll make our place easier to find and add a little class, too. Hope you like it.

You would think she’d be thrilled at all this yummy food, but noooo, noticed her annoyed expression. Geez, what a princess! BTW, she isn’t an Arabian, she’s a Pinto Saddlebred.
